Vapor Polishing utilizes a special chemical vapor which changes the surface of the plastic, causing it to flow. This method can be used in polishing both internal and external features, including threads and drill holes. Polycarbonate is the most commonly vapor polished material due to its excellent cosmetic appearance. E+F Plastics performs basic vapor polishing as well as optical vapor polishing. When a surface must be completely clear and void of tool marks, scratches, etc., please specify optical vapor polishing. Special equipment is used to avoid chemical vapor contact with the operator.
